AICI Atlanta Chapter President
Dear Colleagues,
It is a tremendous honor to take over as AICI Atlanta Chapter President for the 2010-2011 term. I’m extremely fortunate to be a part of an organization that truly supports and encourages development between members.
Sarah Hathorn (the immediate past president) and previous leaders have done a phenomenal job at making this chapter what it is today. My goal is to make the transition as smooth as possible so I’m able to continue where they left off, pushing forward to an even brighter future and a growing membership.
No other organization in the world supports the image consulting career field like AICI and to be able to work together within our Atlanta Chapter is an added bonus of membership. It is imperative that we come together as a team of professionals–with unique backgrounds, talents and skills–to support and learn from one another.
The role of an image consultant goes far beyond putting the right clothes on an individual, defining color palettes and teaching proper etiquette. We know the depth of our work and it is our job as a chapter and AICI member to make sure the rest of the world knows it too. People look to us–AICI–when they need information on one of the faster growing career fields. As an AICI certified image consultant, it is my duty to represent the organization in a way that reflects credibility, professionalism and camaraderie. I hope you share this sense of advocacy as well.
There are incredible opportunities yet to be discovered within AICI to really utilize the value of membership. As a chapter, let’s uncover this added value and set new standards for the image consulting career field.
I look forward to learning and growing from you, AICI Atlanta Chapter, and I hope you’ll continue to play a supportive role in AICI as a whole.
Sincerely,
Shauna M. Heathman, AICI FLC
